My husband, dog and I decided to travel to Whistler on the spur of the moment last weekend. We booked through Whistler.com and got a decent deal at the Adara. The hotel is interesting – definitely a smaller, but modern boutique style hotel. I loved the breakfast bars, cookies and coffee in the lobby. I would have appreciated some sort of amenities or cookies for my dog, although none were offered.
Two things I didn’t like: For a pet friendly hotel, I found it strange that they didn’t want the dog on the bed, yet they didn’t offer us a dog bed for him. And secondly, we had to wait a good 10-15 minutes to have our car parked with valet since there didn’t seem to be much staff working while we were there. Maybe having a buzzer that the front desk person could wear, or make a point to always have two people at or near the front desk? Other than that, it was a decent stay. I was surprised at the great location and that it was so quiet considering it was in the same building as Buffalo Bill’s
