We said at the Coast Blackcomb for an anniversary trip in October of 2016. While it rained the entire trip, that didn’t stop us from make the most of the trip. This hotel is basically located as far from the village as you can get. Had I had a better handle on the geography, I would have likely booked closer to the village. That being said, they had one of the best prices for the area. There was a free shuttle offered from the hotel to the village, which was great!
We arrived to the hotel late, and the front desk reception was warm and welcoming. We had booked a room, and to my error, I had only booked a double bed and the room we were in was located next to a party. Not wanting to interfere with their fun, we asked if we could be relocated and the front desk was quick to offer us a few other options. For an additional fee of $35 we upgraded to a king bed one bedroom suite. The suite was clean and decorated with a rustic feel. The bathroom was quite dated with green laminate counter tops, but again, was very clean. It seems rooms could use a bit of an update.
I found it a bit much to pay an additional $25 a night for parking as well.
The breakfast was good, but after staying for three nights, I found it lacked variety and was limited in the amount of healthier options, but it is vacation after all! Typically continental breakfast though, yogurt, boiled eggs, make your own waffles, toast, bagels, cereal. Can’t ask for much more considering it’s included.
The hot tubs were great! Almost too hot! but were a great place to unwind.
Overall, if you are looking for a cheaper option, and nothing overly fancy, then this is your place.
