Whistler Peak Lodge

Would stay here again for sure…free upgrade room with kitchenette balcony and spa bath. Right next to main village so location was perfect…friendly n helpful staff…big rooms and comfy beds and gas fireplace in room also…parking is available for reasonable price $11 per night…bonus was the price…we picked the right time but beware some things not available to do for close of season…we still found plenty to do though…ATV tour, walk around without the crowds, visit Olympic village just over the bridge from lodge…would stay here again for sure…thank you whistler peak lodge

While the staff there tried very hard to accommodate the building construction is paper thin walls. Don’t stay there if you want to sleep. There is much noise from the street and neighboring rooms. We were on the 6th floor. It’s not quiet until 3 am. Parties all over the streets noise was loud. We stayed the 23-25 a weekend.

A great little hotel in the heart of Whistler. Staff were lovely and the location couldn’t be more central. Price can’t be beat!
Beds are comfortable, linens and towels are crisp clean hotel white.
The village facing side can get a little loud on a weekend night, but you are in the heart of Whistler.
I can’t imagine any other hotels would be different.
… In a previous life, hotels were 4/5 star. A 3 star would NEVER be considered. NEVER.
Well, I’m here to say that I survived.
The trims and finishes are the only things I noticed visually lesser to a 5 star. That, and there is no room service or cleaners. However, when we ran out of coffee or needed anything, one call and a 5 minute wait was all that was required.

An off season rate of $100 (upgrade to the one bedroom for $120) was well worth it. Compared to the Pan at $300 a night.
The room savings softened the blows of the “Whistler Tax” on cocktails and food 🙂

This type or rental is really just a Time Share Conversion to Hotel. It is well located in the center of the village. You can choose a studio, one or two bedroom suite. All have kitchenettes. There is good shopping, drug store, grocery store, hardware store and plenty of clothing shops. Bike rentals during the summer.
Cancellation policies differ considerably from regular hotels. Changes and cancellations could will cost you your complete deposit. It seems that 7 days prior to original arrival date they may let you make a change, but cancelling is out of the question. Bottom line is read the fine print before you give your credit card number. That would apply to all hotels as well.

This is not a hotel, it used to be a Holiday Inn but the rooms are now privately owned condos, therefore all of the rooms are different. We had two adjoining rooms but for example, mine had a lovely upholstered chair but my friend did not. Each unit has a fully stocked kitchen but we didn’t use them because there were so many restaurants and cafes within a minute or two away. The frig had an ice cube tray. There is a Reception Desk with a small lobby but no other typical hotel services like food or drinks, and there is no business center. I was in Room 610, top floor, facing the village center. The first night it was impossibly noisy with yelling, chanting, clapping and things did not quiet down until after 2:30am. Maybe rooms on the other side were quieter…. There was a nice view, a gas fireplace, which would be good in the winter. The mattress was great. There is housekeeping every four days. There was no luggage rack. The negative for me was the bathroom with a jetted bathtub/shower. The sides of the tub were too high, there was no rubber mat, there were no grab bars. There was a very narrow space between the tub and toilet so getting out of the tub would be difficult I think. The toilet was very low. At the age of 70, these things become important. There was a hair dryer and there were a few toiletries. There is a grocery store about 5 minutes away with an attached liquour store (with different hours). It’s about 5 minutes to the Audain Art Museum.

My husband and I went here for an anniversary get away for four nights. We loved the location, right in the heart of town. The room was exactly what we wanted. We had an awesome view in the heart of downtown. Great people watching from our private balcony. We loved the kitchenette that was in the full kitchen. These rooms also came with in room washer and dryers which we definitely utilised. Overall great stay. I would recommend that the hotel offer paper towels or more kitchen towels. I would definitely stay here again!

Bed was very comfortable. Easy access to the village. Super quiet rooms. The room had an added A/C unit which did nothing to cool the room. It was too hot at night. Housekeeping is every 4th day which was not a problem at all. If we needed extra towels, they were readily available. We would stay here again.

This is our 5th time going up to Whistler/Blackcomb Canada everytime we try different hotel but this time I believe we hit the sweet spot as only me and my 2 kids are skiing and my wife does not. So this location is perfect as it is very near the shopping area and coffee shop. And the walk to the lifts is not so far.
There is also the a small movie theater below and only one in Whistler, this is a good alternative if you get bored at night.
Probably the only downside is that we were booked on the noisy side where people walk at night and some can be loud. (We are on the 5th floor already). We were at the D wing and so next time, I was advise to book on the C wing.
Parking is not free in all whistler hotels I believe, but they charge a decently.
We didn’t go to the small pool but my wife used the basic gym, she said its ok,but in the end this is her favorite one so far in Whistler.

They don’t clean everyday and this will be mentioned to you in the front desk. We love the kitchen area still, maybe they need bigger trash can.

We stayed for 4 nights here, the room was very comfortable, great position, right in the village walk to ski slopes, great restaurants all around you, Whistler is not cheap but this Hotel is very good value. It was the Holiday Inn before last time we were in town.
As it is in the middle of the village it can be a bit noisy from the street life at night.

Great place to stay right inside whistler village. A short walk from everything including both blackcombe and whistler mountains. Rooms are not big but have everything you need. Shame the staff are not so friendly!.

Review of Whistler Peak Lodge

The best thing about this hotel is the location – it is a 5minute walk from the slopes and centrally located in the village. The hotel itself is average. Whistler is very expensive in January, and this hotel was no exception. The hotel is average, the room with kitchenette was fine, and the property was okay. While I enjoyed our stay, I did not like spending $300+ for one night., plus parking.

Right in the middle of the action. Whistler is very walkable so everything is about 10 minutes away. Spacious room – we had a queen and a double Murphy bed. Kitchen laundry facilities. Good bath. Parking was extra cost. This is not a full service hotel, rooms only cleaned every 4 th day or with new customers.

Review of Whistler Peak Lodge

While this hotel is very well placed in the Village and the rooms well appointed with a kitchenette and fireplace, if this had been a romantic trip, the romance would have been…limited. Why? The beds were soft and comfortable and the lighting flattering, but the walls were apparently made of paper because I could hear every clink of a fork and opening of the microwave and, possibly more horrifying, every bathroom sound coming from the adjoining room!! Good value for the money but wouldn’t be my first choice for a romantic getaway.

This apartment was situated in a ideal location, very clean. Well equipped apartment and all was there to self accommodate. Parked the car in underground car park and had no need to use it on our three night stay.
