First Tracks Lodge is ideal if you’re looking for a quiet place that’s still close to the mountain and some good eateries. It’s away from Whistler Village, but not so far away as to make the village inaccessible.
The lodge has great amenities and there is a concierge located in the foyer if you need anything extra (not 24 hours though). There is underground parking under the lodge for a fee.
There are 2 hot tubs and a heated pool, and a couple of barbecues located in the courtyard, a gym (which I am still having trouble understanding the requirement for at a ski/adventure lodge) and the Creek Side Gondola is only about 25 metres from the door.
Whistler Village is only 4km by road and is easily accessible by bus ($2 I think) if you don’t have a car, or you can ski there from the top of the Gondola.
There was one downside – we visited in March so although there was plenty of great snow on the top of the mountains, the runs down into the valley were very much “Spring condition” and quite slushy. The only access to the lodge was via a slushy, blue run. We often opted to ride the gondola back down, especially after a long day of enjoying the powder at the top.
Located at the base of Whistler Mountain, Each suite is equipped with a kitchen, gas fireplace and free Wi-Fi. First Tracks Lodge is a ski-in/ski out property that features a 4-season outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Whistler Village is 5 minutes’ drive from the property.
