We went up to the Nita Lake Lodge for a birthday celebration in November after reading numerous reviews which gave the hotel top marks. We were certainly not disappointed – the Nita Lake Lodge was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in and we’ll definitely be coming back.
The room was spacious and gorgeously decorated with a large, comfortable bed, a beautiful gas fireplace and a large sitting area. Everything was tastefully done with dark wood and stone accents, and it was one of the few places I’ve been where the room actually met (in this case, exceeded) the expectations set by the photographs on the website. The bathroom was amazing – heated floors, beautiful stone work, an enormous shower and separate soaker tub.
Although the main restaurant in the Hotel, Aura, was closed for a private function the night we were there, their lounge, Cure, was open and carried a substantial portion of the Aura menu – the food was excellent and the serving staff were friendly and knowledgable.
The rest of the hotel staff were also amazing. Johannah in particular was able to accommodate a very last minute (1/2 hour notice) request for a romance amenity to be placed in our room while we were at dinner. I made the request knowing it was probably not doable, but she pulled it off with flying colours and was in full communication via email the entire time to ensure I was informed, which in itself is impressive. All of the rest of the staff were wonderful as well – we can’t wait to come back.
